That's a good article.

I'm currently setting up a new training area at my house (concrete was poured today) and it's going to be simple.

A 10ftx20ft area of matts, 6ft heavy bag, kettlebells ranging from 25lb to 55lb, speed ball, 22lb medicine ball, sledge hammer, tractor tyre and bars across the ceiling so I can swing around like a monkey.

You can't go wrong with the basics.  I've sent years lifting weights in the gym but stopped that about 3 years ago.  With just kettlebells and body wieight exercises I feel a lot stronger and have a lot less back problems.

Lifting weights is great for body bulding but isn't the best answer for martial arts.

Cheers
