Grandmaster Chaka Zulu has been studying the martial arts since the age of 11. He holds black belt ranks in the arts of Tae Kown Do, Judo, Sanuces Jiu-jitsu, and Nisei Goju karate.
His life experiences have affected the evolution of Zujitsu-ryu, the style he created in 1984. Experiences with the United States Marine Corp, private investigation work, and bodyguard responsibilities of notables such as General Douglas MacArthur have shaped his worldview as a martial artist.
Zulu's contribution to the martial arts as a teacher lies in his unique teaching style, geared toward improving a student's development as a martial artist and not creating a clone of the instructor.
